Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Click the Sign Up button on our homepage. You'll need to provide:

  • Your full name
  • Email address
  • Company name
  • A password (minimum 8 characters)

After signup, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link to activate your account.

What information do I need to perform a search?

To perform a KYB search on a Hong Kong company, you need:

  • Company Registration Number (CRN): 8-digit number from Companies Registry
  • Alternatively, Business Registration Number (BRN): Format: 12345678-000

You can find these numbers on the company's Business Registration Certificate or on the ICRIS public registry.

Using the Platform

How do I perform an entity search?

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Click "New Search" or "Create Case"
  3. Enter the company's registration number
  4. Select the documents you need (standard set is pre-selected)
  5. Choose any optional services (TCSP, MSO, litigation, etc.)
  6. Review the cost estimate
  7. Confirm and proceed to payment
  8. Track progress in real-time
  9. Download your report when complete

What is a corporate shareholder investigation?

When a company has corporate shareholders (other companies as owners), you may need to investigate those companies to find the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (natural persons who ultimately own or control the business).

Each corporate shareholder investigation is a separate Entity Search requiring separate payment. You choose which corporate shareholders to investigate based on your risk assessment and due diligence needs.

How does UBO calculation work?

Our system automatically calculates ownership percentages:

  • Direct Ownership: Percentage of shares directly held by individuals
  • Indirect Ownership: Percentage held through corporate entities
  • Circular Ownership: We use matrix inversion to handle ownership loops (A owns B, B owns A)

Anyone with ≥25% total ownership (direct + indirect) is flagged as an Ultimate Beneficial Owner.

How long does a search take?

  • Entity Verification: Under 1 minute
  • Document Retrieval: 1-3 minutes (depends on ICRIS/IRD response times)
  • Data Extraction: 1-2 minutes
  • Total Time: Typically under 5 minutes for single-entity searches
  • Multi-Layer Searches: 5 minutes per layer

Can I modify my search after payment?

Once payment is made, the search begins processing. Modifications are not possible after payment. However, you can cancel before payment and reconfigure your search as needed.

Documents and Reports

What documents are included in a standard search?

Incorporated Companies:

  • NAR1 - Latest Annual Return
  • NNC1 - Incorporation Form
  • COI - Certificate of Incorporation
  • AOA - Articles of Association
  • BR_CERT - Business Registration Certificate

Unincorporated Businesses:

  • BR_EXTRACT - Business Registration Extract
  • BR_CERT - Business Registration Certificate

How do I access retrieved documents?

All documents are included in your compliance report. You can:

  • View documents in your dashboard
  • Download individual documents as PDFs
  • Download the complete report with all documents
  • Access documents for up to 7 years

Can I share reports with clients or colleagues?

Yes! Reports can be:

  • Downloaded as PDFs for email sharing
  • Shared via secure link (with expiration options)
  • White-labeled with your branding (Enterprise plans)

Billing and Pricing

How much does a search cost?

See our Pricing page for detailed information. Basic searches start at HKD 100 per entity.

What payment methods do you accept?

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Bank Transfer (for Enterprise customers)

Do you offer refunds?

Once a search is completed, refunds are not available as we incur costs retrieving documents. If a search fails due to system issues, we'll credit your account or re-run the search at no cost.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes! Invoices are automatically generated for all searches and available in your dashboard under "Billing History."

Account and Security

How do I reset my password?

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for reset instructions

Is my data secure?

Yes. We implement industry-standard security:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest
  • SOC 2 Type II compliance
  • GDPR and Hong Kong PDPO compliance
  • Regular security audits
  • Multi-tenant data isolation

API and Integration

Do you have an API?

Yes! See our API Documentation for details on integrating KYB verification into your systems.

How do I get an API key?

  1. Log in to your dashboard
  2. Go to Settings → API Keys
  3. Click "Generate New Key"
  4. Copy and securely store your key
